More travelers use Greyhound, Megabus, and Jefferson Lines daily than all of the Amtrak trains that currently serve Union Station. Moving the two providers from the Greyhound station at 12th & Troost to a more obvious location at Union Station would boost foot traffic for the station's struggling retail. Almost every American city has discovered "intermodalism" (Fort Worth, Dallas, Denver, LA, St. Louis, Milwaukee) and this becomes even more useful as we add more modes (streetcar, commuter rail, bike lanes). Metro residents unanimously agree that Union Station should be *the* transportation hub for the region.
